Organisation Science and Technology
We support industry with advanced technology, human-machine interaction, and agile process management with a view toward strategic resilience and renewal of us as leaders, employees and stakeholders.
Digitalisation, advanced technologies and human-robot interaction are shaping the frontiers of private and public organisations' strategic performance. In the Organisation Science and Technology Section, we study leadership skills and employee competencies together with implementation processes required for a fast-paced, forward-looking transformation.
The need for leadership is nothing new, but extraordinary demands are made to make leadership strategic: Uncertainties in the business environment require resilience. Innovation opportunities call for renewal. Leaders are expected - in addition to ensuring effective company performance in a fast-changing environment - to meet individual employees' expectations for a supportive, yet creative, working environment.
Human-technology interaction's skilful design has proven critical to distance management, knowledge-intensive work, facilities management and health care. This requires considering human factors critical to supporting technologies' strategic performance.
In our work, we help develop participatory and multi-level tools and programmes for (re)designing and implementing work-related and organisational level changes that improve both employee well-being and organisational performance in close collaboration with industry.
