Climate Economics and Risk Management
We uncover the socio-economic drivers and consequences of mitigation, adaptation, and climate change.
Climate change makes enormous and unprecedented impacts on societies, calling for new methods and decision-support that consider economic, environmental and social aspects of climate change and climate policies.
The Climate Economics and Risk Management Section seeks to understand and create sustainable economic systems and equitable living conditions.
We conduct research on the societal and economic impacts from climate change, as well as mitigation and adaptation strategies. Our research spans challenges in sustainable behaviour, climate risk assessment and responsible investment.
The section features a team of researchers with diverse skill sets and methodological capabilities that facilitate relevant research beyond the state of the art. We conduct applied research with strong theoretical foundations and use various methods and models at the micro and macro levels.
We support policymakers, industry, and citizens in making choices aligned with sustainable societal well-being.
